As a digital ministry, we know that every zip code has different resources available. We invite you to make yourself aware of what is and isn't accessible near you.

If you find that your community lacks one or more of these resources we encourage you to consider being an advocate in your communuty to increase access for your trans neighbor. 

Suggestions to help you advocate:
  • Find and save the contact information for your state and national elected representatives. 
  • Sign up for mailing lists that will keep you updates on new initives in your community. 
  • Talk about your concern for the lack of resources with friends.
  • Follow social media accounts that will keep you informed

Prayer

Sign up to pray

We want to fill the hours leading up to TDoR with prayer. Prayer time slots are open from 8pm ET/6 pm MT on Saturday and continue through the same time on Sunday. 

Praying for an hour feels like a lot of time but with the resources we will email you the time will pass quickly. Participating in prayer vigils has been deeply impactful for individuals and communities for centuries and we hope you will challenge yourself to find out why. 

To be a designated prayer, click the button below and select an open time slot. The email you sign up with will recieve a message on Saturday with prayer requests, names of Trans neighbors we lost this year, and more resources to help you fill the hour.

If there is something you would like us to hold in prayer during the 24-hour vigil please click the button below for the form. Only the body of the text you input will be sent to the praying participants. Please only use first names when referring to anyone. 

All prayer requests are accepted, they do not need to be specifically related to Transgender Day of Remembrance.

Vigil Closing

To conclude the vigil, we will have a community-wide gathering on ZOOM. Dorian Condre (they/he) will preach on the story of Lazarus and its connection to the transgender experience. If you would like to join this gathering please submit the email where the link can be sent. Participants who have signed up to pray for the vigil will receive this link automatically.
